Sandustry Kinetic Press Guide
The Press is simple once three conditions are visible: correct material, enough fall distance and a clear impact surface.

Quick answer
What to do
Drop Burnt Residue onto the Kinetic Press from at least 25 blocks high. A valid impact produces one Gold and one Seed below. Wrong material, or Burnt Residue dropped from too low, rests on top and blocks later impacts.
The three verified requirements
Measure from the release point to the Press rather than judging by screen height. Preserve a straight fall path so the material does not hit a ledge first.
Why the Press is doing nothing
- Inspect the pixel resting on top. Confirm it is Burnt Residue.
- Verify the release point is at least 25 blocks above.
- Clear any pixel already covering the impact surface.
- Leave room below for both output materials to fall.
The Press does not include a Conveyor Belt. The official page suggests clearing stagnant pixels from above with angled Launchers; treat the exact layout as a starting idea, not the only design.
Separate Gold and Seed after impact
Both products exit below, so the Press solves conversion but not separation. Build an accessible output chamber first. Add a Filter only after confirming the mixed output reaches it and its lower exit is open. Route Gold toward Collector storage and Seed toward its own buffer.
A safe commissioning test
Release a small known batch, watch the impact surface, and count only successful conversions. If any material remains above, stop input and clear it. Once the Press stays clear, connect the continuous Burnt Residue line and then tune transport capacity.
