Sandustry Material Flow Chart

Trace both the early Gold loop and the late Seed-to-Aura production chain, with verified conditions and unknown ratios kept visible.

Quick answer

What to do

Start at Sand + Water. Wet Sand enters a Shaker, which always creates Residue and sometimes Gold. Burnt Residue that survives ignition can be dropped 25+ blocks onto a Kinetic Press for Gold and Seed. Seed starts the late Amethelis, Florinol, Auralite and Aura chain.

Gold and Residue flow

Probability labels apply to individual pixels. They are not guaranteed batch yields. Keep collection and loss branches visible when estimating a line.

Water and Steam loop

Water+ heat →Steam ↑reaches sky →Rain ↓→Water

Water also enters the Wet Sand branch and can wet Seeds. Steam is a gas route for moving Water upward before it condenses; this chart does not describe Steam as electrical power.

Late-game Seed-to-Aura flow

This branch is dependency-accurate, not ratio-accurate. The official pages do not publish universal conversion amounts for these late stages. Use the Aura guide for research prerequisites, material behavior and stage-by-stage troubleshooting.

Transport decisions between nodes

  • Horizontal solids: Conveyor Belt.
  • Upward launchable solids: Launcher. Auralite is documented as non-launchable.
  • One material out of a mix: Filter, with the matching pixel falling down.
  • Controlled liquid route: Pump into Pipe toward a Liquid Vent after the Fluids unlock.
  • Drifting Amethelis: use a contained collection area instead of relying on a narrow free fall.

These components move or split material; they do not remove the need for an open destination and an overflow plan.

What this chart intentionally leaves out

It does not publish universal items-per-minute ratios, a single best factory geometry, undocumented reactions or an exact Aura requirement. The official sources currently conflict on Auralite's matter type and one Aurixite input label, so the chart follows the detailed process pages and leaves those disputed labels out.
