Quick answer

What to do

For every stage, record input state, reaction or processor, every output, storage, overflow and manual access. Keep Water and fire reactions outside sorting components, and commission with a small known batch.

Processing plant planner

01

Input

Material, state, source, expected variability and shutoff.

02

Reaction

Water contact, ignition or impact condition with containment.

03

Processor

Shaker, Filter or Press with clear working space.

04

Outputs

One route for each product, byproduct and loss branch.

05

Storage

Collector or material buffer with visible capacity.

06

Recovery

Overflow, stop control and safe manual access.

Apply it to the early Gold chain

StageMust stay visible
Wet SandWater boundary and product outlet
ShakerGold below, Residue above, no trapped foreign solid
Burn zoneResidue input, surviving Burnt Residue, fire containment
Kinetic Press25-block fall, clear top, Gold and Seed below
SortingFilter continuation and vertical outlet

Commission before scaling

  1. Mark the expected state at every boundary.
  2. Feed a small known batch.
  3. Trace every output, including loss and byproducts.
  4. Fill one downstream buffer deliberately and observe backpressure.
  5. Confirm you can stop and clear the line without dismantling the plant.

Use this as a build review

  • Every input has a shutoff.
  • Every reaction is contained.
  • Every processor has working clearance.
  • Every output has storage or overflow.
  • Every Filter has two open routes.
  • The Press has measured height and a clear top.
  • Gold reaches Collector blocks.
  • A player can reach likely jam points.
